So rather than even talking about "morality", what we should instead do, is talk about mutual self interest. And if we take such a converation seriously, I think we humans (being most of us at least somewhat empathatic AND also largely co-dependent), then what we'll ultimatly end up with is rules for collaboration. And that's what we can judge each other and other cultures by. Which is essentiallly to say: We judge each other by how much we trust each other to be good business and social partners.

I think most people argue for what they want to believe, rather than for what best describes reality. And I think that is very detrimental to us getting along.
