Ultimately, I think the vast majority of humans have enough in common, that most "rights" or "moral" rules should, in the long run, be agreeable at even a global community scale.

But even then, it would still just amount to a tyranny of the preferences of the majority, and would always in some way be anthropocentric, and not some ideal built into the universe itself.

I think most people argue for what they want to believe, rather than for what best describes reality. And I think that is very detrimental to us getting along.
