Very interesting take. But since the ability to get energy from the sun still depends on controlling and using some area of earth's surface where it's sunny, doesn't this still make 'land' the ultimate limited quantity - at least as long as we still live on Earth?

After all, plants still crowd each other out to fight for light in the forest.
