Totally. It's really hard to control a message after you say it / publish it / release it to the world, and often impossible to prevent people from misinterpreting or mischaracterizing it when they are often hell-bent on doing so.

All we can do is say what we mean, in ways that we hope will make sense to most people, and then be prepared to clarify and reiterate as different people interact with our message over time.
