Thanks for the comment. Yeah, I had a similar conversation with John.

Realistically, I know that Medium probably won't do anything like that. And I know that there may be some challenges in terms of human resources, etc in implementing something like that.

But I think the potential problems are not unsolvable, and I think the bigger problem is the will to do it - which I think stems from the fact that people don't actually think it's important.

Collectively, our culture doesn't fully grasp the degrading effect those types of fallacies have on a conversation. And I think we are unlikely to learn that lesson without some sort of moderator (e.g. Medium) to train us into a better way of having conversations.

I think most people argue for what they want to believe, rather than for what best describes reality. And I think that is very detrimental to us getting along.
