Thanks for bringing up game theory. I think the lens of game theory should be used way more often.

For instance, game theory can explain why American politics has two dominant parties.

And it can also explain why big corporations always reach a point where they supposedly become "evil".

The fact is, the concept of "evil" is hopelessly childish and outdated. The trajectory of corporations, and their effect on society can always be traced back to game theoretical dynamics that essentially guarantee how these things will play out. The only way to change these outcomes is by changing something about how we do capitalism. Calling the big companies "evil" is just a way to make ourselves feel morally superior, but it solves nothing, and explains nothing. It's all just game theory.

I think most people argue for what they want to believe, rather than for what best describes reality. And I think that is very detrimental to us getting along.
