I argue that there cannot possibly be a true universal "morality", as most people normally use that word. And instead, the only value or meaning we can have true knowledge of is our own feelings.

And the result is that we are always inevitably "selfish", but that that selfishness often causes us to behave in ways that are beneficial to those around us, usually starting with our families, and working our way outwards, as you mention.

It's not "morality" as we normally think of it. But it is the only thing similar to morality that is actually real, and that we can therefore reason and communicate with each other about logically or reliably. In other words, I think we should ditch the work "morality" altogether, and instead just focus on identifying useful opportunities and strategies for cooperating and collaborating.
