Right, but without a "god" or other such "universal perspective" to arbitrate, the "moral principles" of secularists are always entirely arbitrary, and based on nothing but the individual's personal musings, or that of their tribe.

Which means that, insofar as any particular moral code is allowed to flourish, it only does so by virtue of the power or size of the population that espouses that viewpoint.

You might argue that some behavioral codes, like discouraging theft and murder, are not arbitrary. And I agree. But that's not actually "morality". It's just cooperation, driven by self interest.

I think most people argue for what they want to believe, rather than for what best describes reality. And I think that is very detrimental to us getting along.
