Perhaps I'm just an optimist, but I tend to see labels like "neurodivergent" and "non-binary" as probably a good development in what I'm hoping is a long-term march towards sanity.
As those labels become more prevalent, perhaps we'll eventually collectively realize that everyone is somewhat divergent, but that these differences are both fluid and limited in how far they diverge from the mean. They are like the great equalizer in the struggle to "outflank" one another.
And once we realize the futility of trying to win arguments purely by outflanking each other in our divergence, perhaps we can then learn to win (and lose) arguments by whether our ideas make sense or not.
