It's not. Just think of how many animal bodies are "cremated" whenever there's a forest fire. The total amount of pollution generated by cremating human remains - even if we cremated all 8 billion of us at once - is entirely insignificant, and certainly not a good thing to try to shame people about, as the auther seems to be trying to do.

I think most people argue for what they want to believe, rather than for what best describes reality. And I think that is very detrimental to us getting along.
