I think this comment misses the mark. Teed is basically just trying to help people forgive the shortcomings of people who have harder circumstances, and also to shed some additional light on what it's actually like to have real privilege. Some mid-to-upper class people may even read this article and realize how much privilege they have from their community that they're not even aware of.
