I think this article looses some force in that it doesn't really contextualize this incident by comparing it to any other similar cases.

Have there been cases where someone got away with a shorter or longer sentence? Or are there any other cases where pretty people got support on social media? Could the person's youth or ethnicity or social class play a role? Are outcomes different depending on who gets killed? How about differences between manslaughter vs murder?

Pretty privilege isn't talked about much, and I think it's worth thinking about. But I think the title says it all, and the article itself doesn't actually support the case very well.

I think most people argue for what they want to believe, rather than for what best describes reality. And I think that is very detrimental to us getting along.
