I think there's a distinction to be made between 'witnessing' and 'expressing'.

The brain's ability to encode bodily states and brain states as language is certainly an example of 'expressing'.

But whether or not there is actually any pain or pleasure being felt, or colors being seen and truly witnessed, etc., is another question.

Does that make sense?

I think most people argue for what they want to believe, rather than for what best describes reality. And I think that is very detrimental to us getting along.
