I think language is always (can never not be) somewhat vague, and that whether a person's question or claim seems stupid largely comes down to how we assume they've resolved the vagueness in their own mind.

In your proposed reframing of my title, some of this vagueness is obvious, as it begs the question: genre of what? Perhaps you could ask a similar question about my title.

I think if you read the article (did you read the article?) you'll see me giving a little more shape to some of the vagueness of my title.

As it stands though, I think your comment is also too vague for me to respond to it in much more detail, without taking some big guesses as to what you actually mean. If you add some detail or context, we can probably have more of a discussion.
