I think it's accurate to say that richer people tend to commit different crimes than poorer people.

I think it's also accurate to say that, in the end, in a very literal, practical sense, power has its way.

And so to the extent with which richer people have more power than poorer people, richer people also will have their way moreso than poorer people.

Hopefully, we will be able to distribute power and wealth more evenly in the future, so that everyone's desires will be more equally reflected in how things are run.

But either way, what it comes down to is that people will exercise what power they have to build a world they want to live in.

And broadly speaking, I think it's fair to say that one of the top priorities for most of us is to have a world where we won't get murdered by someone.

I think most people argue for what they want to believe, rather than for what best describes reality. And I think that is very detrimental to us getting along.
