I feel like the best long-term strategy, rather than trying to "fight fire with fire" on every irrational issue that people have been brainwashed into, is to "brainwash" people to adhere strictly to a finite set of rational principles on every issue.

if, for example, every human had to frequently pass a LSAT-style tests during their school years, and was trained (ie "brainwashed") into bringing that sort of logical rigor to all of their thinking (and knew that there would be social consequences for using less rigorous logic), then I think the world would have a much better prognosis.
