Haha, wow, I love this!

…those of us with privilege are more likely to have been given the opportunity to acquire knowledge. In a society in which men are accused of mansplaining every time they try to share what they know with a woman, that knowledge will only get passed down to the next generation of privileged young men. Let’s use the concept critically and carefully, and not just as a bludgeon to silence any man you disagree with.

I imagine that, against their better judgement, men will continue to mansplain at a rate that won't make this a real threat, but it's still a very interesting way to think about it.

I think most people argue for what they want to believe, rather than for what best describes reality. And I think that is very detrimental to us getting along.
